• Guinea Fowl Pan Pizza

Guinea fowl pan pizza was part of my poll on instagram last week. My instagram community voted favourably for it. I also suggested a number of tasty treats which they were not so thrilled about. I absolutely enjoy crowd sourcing information about what to post. That way, I know what posts will actually do well.

Let’s circle back to this guinea fowl pan pizza recipe. I get a good supply from a lady on instagram called mot2peasgrocers she has really good tasting guinea fowl and she delivers pretty quickly. I then shred it at home into little bits and add to quick sauces, indomie, pan pizzas, sandwiches and multiple use cases.

The dough i rolled out in this recipe was a little thicker than usual but you can opt for a thinner dough. I also cooked this on low heat on the stove but you can put it in the oven. Enjoy this guinea fowl pan pizza recipe.

Recipe for Guinea fowl Pan Pizza

    Ingredients

3.5 cups of All purpose flour

    2 teaspoons of Yeast

    1 teaspoon of Salt

    1/4 cup of Olive Oil

    1 cup of Warm Water

2 cups of Guinea fowl pieces (shredded)

1 cup of Blended Tomato and Pepper

    6 pieces of Garlic

    1/3 cup of Vegetable Oil

    1/4 bulb of Onions

1 cup of Sliced Red, Green and Yellow Bell Peppers

1/4 cup of Shredded Cheddar Cheese

    1/2 teaspoon of Black Pepper

    Seasoning cubes

    Method

For the pizza dough, mix the warm water, yeast, and salt in a large bowl and stir until everything has dissolved.

Mix in the flour till a dough has formed. Add your olive oil and knead your dough and set aside in a warm place to rise for an hour.

Cut a quarter of the dough at a time and roll out.

In a separate pan, heat up your vegetable oil, stir fry your garlic and onions. Pour in your blended tomato and pepper, seasoning cubes, black pepper and guinea fowl.

Allow to simmer for about 5 minutes on low heat and turn off the heat.

Take your rolled out dough and oil the surface. Spread the guinea fowl sauce on the dough. Top with sliced bell peppers and extra onions if you like. Also top with the shredded cheese.

Place in the oven or on your stove top on low heat and cover the pan.

Cook or bake for 10-15 minutes.

    Serve warm.
